Cars on the Coast | JDM Cars in Showcase

Car Culture thrives in South Australia, even in places you’ve never expected. It’s fascinating that their schedules work around Sundays. Nobody’s competing, and everyone in the community certainly shows their passion. Everyone gets along well, which is why every Sunday morning is something to look forward to.

There’s one happening every second Sunday of the month, and that’s “Cars on the Coast,” which is held in Port Noarlunga near one of the well-known beaches in South Australia, and surprisingly interesting how this month has JDM cars dominating the scene.

Usually, the monthly gathering is a mix of old, new, and notable ones that catch your eye. There’s always something new to see in every iteration of this car meet this side of the city of Onkaparinga.

It might be the most popular social gathering this side of the suburb that thrives mostly on family-related events that involve parents and children. But it is a social activity that is open to everyone and does not need a special invite, which is something that the community should grow and not have a “target market” only for a niche group of petrol heads.

This part of the first few weeks of winter month it should feel like you don’t want to get out of the house. But if you want to see something in four wheels or anything that you find that interests you about the automotive scene this is one of the events to check out some of the interesting individuals who poured their passion for cars.

Below are some images taken during the car meet, it looks to be a mini-JDM car meet sprinkled with some of the classic Euro cars and Aussie rides you don’t see elsewhere that might catch your interest…

Cars on the Coast is a monthly car meet held at Becker’s Bakery near the parking lot located in Port Noarlunga, which happens every second Sunday of the month. For more about the local event, you can follow Cars on the Coast on Facebook for further announcements on their next gathering.

Acknowledgments go out to Michael Lewis who is a devoted car guy who rides his Honda Cub to work and takes his Honda Civic to these car meets who proved these images during his visit to this event.
