MIAS 2024 | Last Day Sights & Images

The last day of the Manila International Auto Show (MIAS) hit a fever pitch as visitors continued to flock and take pictures of the best cars featured inside and outside the World Trade Center Manila. This has been getting the most crowds on its last day compared to last year when things were winding down.

This year has been the most successful return to car show prominence having another venue makes MIAS the biggest event for this year. There’s always something new to see and activities to participate in with exhibitors.

If you missed out on the happenings during the last day here are some of the highlights! There were so many things going on at once that you may get lost in the images presented here. The vintage cars outside are getting enough adoration that they are the popular ones to get a closer look that you don’t see every day. From old-school Honda Civics to a classy Volkswagen Beetle you will see all of them lined up throughout the venue’s main concourse.

At the same time, a huge crowd going in and out of the venue is something you also don’t see in any local car show. But MIAS truly have made their zeitgeist cementing their place in local events to look forward to in Metro Manila. The area outside WTC alone is evident how huge the crowd was towards the end of this event.

Cars and Wild Parties

The combination of a car show and some loud music makes up for the wild party just outside the venue and MIAS is an event anyone can be part of the experience. This event has put itself on the map once again as one of the annual events to look forward to when it happens again next year.

There are long lines to the shuttle (more of this later) people going inside the venue, and those passing by snapping pictures of the featured vintage cars on display just outside while a DJ plays tunes to hype up the crowd is exhilarating to witness if you’re a casual visitor you’ll get lost in the crowd.

Long lines at the Free Shuttle

There’s a long line of people from the edge of the WTC to the entrance of the venue that has not moved due to the limited shuttles coming in and out from the SMX Convention Centre. Hopefully, the organizers will improve on this situation next year. But today was a very busy day for those who want to travel to the other venue.

A lot of people were waiting for the next shuttle to arrive, and this being a Sunday was a challenge with traffic build-up that is not normal to happen on a weekend was extraordinary to go back and forth to both venues. It’s best to plan on taking the opportunity to use the free shuttle service, because of the sheer volume of people lined up the allotted EV buses were having difficulty servicing everyone on the last day for this event, which shows MIAS needs to streamline their shuttle service.

Inside the Venue

By 6 PM they stopped selling tickets, but there were still A LOT of people in the main hall and the Nissan exhibit is not short with so many people taking turns taking photos of both their Nissan GT-R and Nissan Z cars that have been popular since unveiling to the public during the first day.

The same goes for Chevrolet who has another exhibit at the SMX Convention Centre. But the WTC venue is where the popular car brands are found, and most of them have been crowding the area for the latest models from Mitsubishi, Suzuki, Lynk & Co, Hyundai, and other new exhibitors for this year’s event.

The Faces and Places

There are faces and certainly exhibits featuring the men and women of the event representing their booths. Just like the other venue, you will find them socializing and knowing about the vehicles they are assigned to. Even a guy cosplaying Batman is there at one booth where an off-road vehicle is on display.

You can find them on the last day posing for an impromptu photo shoot or having a selfie with random individuals getting their opportunity for some prosperity that they’ve been part of the MIAS experience. If you missed out, take notes on what to look forward to when MIAS rolls out again for next year.

Lastly, the best takeaway for this year is that this event found its balance between presenting the latest vehicles and at the same time acknowledging the ones who keep maintaining their vintage cars through their special awards and competition. MIAS will continue to bridge the future (no pun intended) by reaching out to the mainstream that car culture is not limited to those who own a car.

But to inspire those who dream of owning their cars, and this is one of the rare venues you will ever be able to be part of that experience. You also get to learn what’s the next big thing coming out and that’s a plus if you are looking forward to the future and this event is giving you the options to dream for it.
