Jaf's The Last Cruise | Westfield Marion

Jaf’s the Last Cruise is a wild party of the car culture. The annual event is held at the parking lot of Westfield Tea Tree Plaze since its Boxing Day the mall is closed to the public. This event is open to check out the cars and the owner’s story.

The event started at 4:30 PM letting them drive through the streets of Adelaide going to their last route at Westfield Marion, where we finally caught up with a huge crowd occupying the empty spaces on Holiday.

This event has started to grow from a couple of car enthusiasts that spawned a community that are just passionate with everything that’s good looking and four-wheel. There’s no category due to the crowd is from all walks of life.

There’s so much happening at Jaf’s Last Cruise last night, but we failed to see it at Westfield Tea Tree Plaza and here are some things you may take as advice when attending this type of event when it comes to wanting to see some fancy cars.

Be Early at Tea Tree Plaza

Arguably the best place to see them is in the bright of day as most of the cars gather up before 4:30 PM in the vicinity of Tea Tree Plaza’s covered parking lot. You can capture the best photos in daylight compared to catching them all up on their very last stop at Westfield Marion, where the sun has set and very bad lighting in the covered parking lot of a mall already crowded with people and all sorts of cars you can’t hardly see in the dark for those who have only got a camera phone.

Find the Best Seat of the House

You may be early but you need the best vantage point to capture the photos when you see old and new cars rolling in the parking lot. What a learning lesson for first-time attendees of this car meets is the right place at the best time, which is getting to the position when you can see them all cruise around the parking lot particularly at Tea Tree Plaza as the one in Marion has been a not-so good place to capture photos with cameras that don’t have the ability to “see” in the dark.

Capture the Best before Darkness

Lesson learned from someone who has limited ability to take photos at night using camera phones. Just as advised before its best to get there at Westfield Tea Tree Plaza you should be there also on the bright of day. The one at Westfield Marion may have the most cars but appreciating some of its classics is a challenge to capture them if you’re limited to light around the area. It’s better to be at the forefront of the event when there’s enough daylight not only to see the cars but to speak with the owners.

Overall the photos were taken at Westfield Marion where not as expected to be dark, but there are notable cars were captured that night. But highly suggest if you’re interested to see the best and the brightest be at the Westfield Tea Tree Plaza to capture better photos to have a good experience at Jaf’s Last Cruise on Boxing Day.
