Majorette Racing | Dodge Challenger SRT Demon

The Dodge Challenger name has been part of one car dating back to 1964 producing three generations of different variations and specification of an iconic muscle car. The Chrysler Corporation first produced the original car a ‘late response’ to Ford’s Mustang as they say better late than never and it was up for a challenge.

Majorette has started to produce the diecast version with its all-new casting basing it to the Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat introduced in 2017 that expanded to variations to its range from Premium Cars and now with the Racing series with the Dodge Challenger SRT Demon.

The Dodge Challenger SRT Demon in real life an upgrade of the Hellcat that has an 840 horsepower on racing fuel. True to its name as well as the slight difference on the body kit that also takes inspiration when Majorette produced the casting with updates to the spoiler and door modifications.

This muscle car is unnoticeable from its Hellcat sibling also released under the Premium Cars range. Just like its predecessor this was part of the 2019 Racing Cars that seems out of place for being a racer that the majority of the series is populated by rally motorsport. But it still appeal to be something of a street racer used in illegal competitions that you see in the ‘Fast & Furious’ films.

Racing Cars | Dodge Challenger SRT Demon

There’s something impressive about a car in red and black with added red flames that makes it way impressive than the plain red version from the Premium Cars. The price point also gives you the reason why the Racing Cars have been special than the later series from Majorette that is all worth it.

If you have a choice of course you’ll get this one as there is no point getting the same casting with two different variations. It is the Racing Cars range flame pattern that really stands out that is not overly elaborated in comparing to the soon-to-be released classic Ford Mustang from the 2020 Vintage Series.

The improvements in choosing the right set of wheels for this casting was better in comparison to the very first time Majorette introduced the Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat and this is one of the reasons this casting is uncommon and challenging to find one on local retail stores in the Philippines.

Key Features of the Dodge Challenger SRT Demon below:

Year Release: 2019 | Updated Casting
Series: Racing Cars
Scale: 1/66
Window: Clear
Interior: Black
Moving Parts: Doors
Tampo: Red Flames

Moving Parts | Opening Doors

Like most of the Racing Cars featured in this range it has moving parts that is both doors can open to reveal the cars black interior that certainly works with the red and black colorway that differentiates itself from the Premium Cars version. It is an added premium for this car just like its Premium Edition that the doors open.

The Racing Cars series is a middle class which is the second tier to the ultimate series from Majorette. But so far there hasn’t been a Dodge Challenger SRT Demon with opening doors that also has an opening bonnet/hood, not yet. But surely there’s something in the works for the type of premium in the future.

For now, opening doors will do to match the flame patterns and those slick black rims with silver lining on its wheels that surely an eye catching muscle car.

Old & New | Challenger

Since Majorette has not produced a vintage edition of the Dodge Challenger a side-t0-side comparison with the 1970 Dodge Challenger R/T from Hot Wheels will give you a perspective the difference between the old and new evolution of the iconic car. This is certainly something Majorette should look into if they plan to produce their version of the vintage muscle car.

Although both cars are not in the same scale you can easily see the evolution of the car from a wide body car with a longer wheelbase to a fuel efficient powered up machine that takes a moniker of a fiery demon when it goes from 0 to 60 mph in 2.3 seconds is certainly a pedal to the metal that makes this one of the sought after cars.

Overall there’s no perfect casting only the right execution in making it a favorite for diecast collectors. It depends on everyone’s preference if they want to get all variations of the Hellcat or the two new castings of the Demon. But if you want to keep just one casting the Dodge Challenger SRT Demon from the Racing Cars range is definitely for keeps with that flame patterns, opening doors, slick black rims with silver lining on its wheels, and the red and black body color is really a standout alright.
