Cars & Coffee | When the Classics Ruled
The event informally started fairly early even before 8 AM there are already several people snapping photos for the cars that range from roadsters, hot rods, and muscle cars. Don’t dismiss also the classic Japanese imports that are sight to behold too.
Austin and Morris classic cars where represented with different models other than the iconic Mini. There is a couple of hot rods that’s been parked and showing off its shiny engines. Besides the cars that makes up this monthly car meet there are also motorcycles that are also represented nearby Woolworth’s parking area (not in photos unfortunately).
There are also several BMW and Porsche model taking up one side of Blackwood, but those that really catches attention are the earlier models of the Corvette, Porsche, and a group of Mustangs that fairly becoming common during this morning’s gathering.
New cars also have been seen in the parking area that is either an exclusive like an edition of the HSV Commodore VF Series II or that special edition of the recent model of the Mustang parked beside the original 1969 model. Rounding up this month’s meet up is a different of perspective look on the car’s original logos that some have changed over the years.
It’s something some enthusiasts rarely look in details just like one model of the Austin English in white that is a rarity in modern cars. You can also take notice and appreciate how the Jaguar hood ornament has been a fixture in the classic cars that is the signature identity of the brand. The same goes with how the modern Mercedes-Benz has kept its logo consistent and clean that adapted to this generation.
As the crowd continue to build up towards 9 AM there are still takeaways in this event noting the 1970 Corvette Stingray in white and the SS Camaro that left a renewed interest why some classics can still stand the test of time despite newer models of their namesake has been fast and powerful.
But overall anther Cars and Coffee has put another show for those who started to get into cars. But for those who just appreciate the way the classics though being outdated in some of their designs has been something that has become a novelty that you only see in car shows held in convention centres that is something to appreciate in seeing in these monthly gatherings.
If you missed out on the event in the mornings you can also catch up and get more updates on the next one LIKE Cars and Coffee Blackwood on Facebook!
