Burger Meet VII | Best Car Scene

Before we usher the New Year and pop a champagne Any Given Reason has finally launched their magazine Sports Car Safari at the same time held the seventh edition of the Burger Meet to a large crowd at Penny’s Hill winery on a cloudy Saturday afternoon.

The drive to McLaren Vale was a long one, but worth the engine roar of a VF2 Commodore Red Line edition, which was one of the bittersweet cars seen in the venue that has been a rousing success to the organizers and the Car Culture.

From all walks of life who appreciate cars of the old and new had driven all the way to the annual Burger Meet, which has been growing and cultivating a different kind of crowd compared to the other car events out there. This was an opportunity for the organizers to also launch their first ever magazine which the Sports Car Safari.

There where music played and bands performing, but at the heart of this event would have you Any Given Reason to chow down on some Burgers at the Meet up for those who are passionate about cars and having a good chat with like minded individuals. It’s a veritable car culture that continues to evolve and grow in South Australia.

You’ve got old school heritage cars and some interesting wheels from the 50s, 60s, 70s, 80s and the modern era cars. You also get to see the sleek gloss and shiny wheels roll in the parking lot of the winery.

Pageantry on Wheels

Every car that rolls in the huge lot of Penny’s Hill is a show stopper. Well depends on your taste of what car you’ll see arrive at the gate. But overall it’s like a parade of cars by different kind of like minded car people. There’s nothing like this even outside Australia as comparing it to another country’s car culture is different from how open minded the land down under has been with this kind of community in general

There are so many cars to go around the hectare size lot that’s free entry for those who just want to appreciate some cars, burgers and sociable crowd. It’s something rare for the casual and first time attendees of this event.

Heritage of Then and Now

You gotta respect the car gods for the awesome perspective at the same time how the weather held up as early in the day it was raining. Though it feels like it would drench the shiniest cars out there it turns out the sky opened up and let the community celebrate another annual Burger Meet seeing different cars parked from the classics one up to the modern cars that deserve respect like Holden’s last car namely the VF2 Commodore where several ones gathered.

There have some interesting ones in the area which you can find shared here for your appreciation like the sleek Ferrari, a shiny GT editon 1966 Mustang or that DMC DeLorean that’s been getting the spotlight by most photographers in the area.

For Those Who Gets It

You have Any Given Reason to drive all the way to Penny’s Hill and its worth the trip a first visit to the Burger Meet may not be the last, but surely there’s more of this to be held happening last Saturday of December.

Congratulations to the organizers for making it happen and let’s chow down on those tasty burgers on the next one. Overall it might not be a perfect year ender, but just right to appreciate everything about the car culture and let’s be optimistic as we enter 2018 with plenty more in the tank with a good ride because we got Any Given Reason to do so. Drive on.
