Majorette Racing | Ford F-150 Raptor

Motorsport Rally Racing is not just about the cars, but is also pick-up trucks and other variations of vehicles that are used in this sport. Rally Sport is one of the interesting theme that put the vehicle to the test due to endurance and the challenge of terrain and you can believe that well-known car manufacturers have been part of this ever since.

With Ford they’ve been around long enough to be part of this racing category that includes WRC entering variations of the Focus and Fiesta cars, which now also includes their special modified trucks like the Ford Raptor that introduced an all-new racing truck based from the F-150 variation as featured diecast car from Majorette.

Majorette diecast cars, trucks, and other vehicles have been competitive. The French diecast toy company has been compared to other diecast brands like Matchbox for its well detailed licenced products. Though they don’t often re-release the same casting all over again they are more focused on the quality of the product than having several variations of the same car or truck.

For 2018 they have re-released a modified casting of the Ford F-150 which was expanded to multiple liveries and even modified ‘Monster Truck’ versions of the popular truck. But these minor casting changes was unnoticed starting with this year though it gives a fresh look on the F-150 to get different versions.

Racing Cars | F-150 Raptor

This is the second variation of the 2018 casting with the Raptor livery that is painted in white with a splash of orange and black accents. This version came with two variations as originally in product photos it came with a black front bumper and the more widely known white bumper that was sold in Southeast Asia.

Just like its predecessor and 2018 casting it does not have any major difference other than the slight change on the casting from the 2015-2017 versions. The livery is based on the actual version of the F-150 Raptor used for rally racing. This was similarly used by Hot Wheels in their version of the same truck, but more of this through comparison photos of both castings can be seen in this article.

Majorette does not scrimp on quality when it comes to their castings and they are not differentiating on the various sub-product series just like this Ford F-150 Raptor. Whatever is released in the Street Car Series, Premium Series, or Racing Car Series it is still the same casting and the minor difference is the quality of paint that is applied on the product and that’s minor though have change on the price point due to quality.

What keeps the casting consistent in all the product range is the moving parts and this Ford F-150 Raptor has an opening Bonnet/Hood to reveal its engine based on the real life rally racing truck. It might not be as detailed as you expect, but it is one of the reasons this casting is sought after in its Raptor livery.

Majorette Raptor VS Hot Wheels Raptor

If you haven’t been aware the Raptor Racing livery was used by both Majorette and Hot Wheels, but the similarities ends there. For real world accuracy both are two different and distinguishable casting of the same model of Ford’s F-150 Raptor. There’s no debate here which ones accurate or if the other is not both have their shortcomings and it is only measured on anyone’s preference.

But when you look at the actual F-150 Raptor both brands take inspiration on the qualities of the real truck and it’s up to you which ones you’re favorite. The one from Majorette is more of a road worthy for the consumers while the one from Hot Wheels takes more inspiration from the rally truck used in the competition.

Overall the Ford F-150 Raptor by Majorette is a truck on its own and their take of the rally racing truck. This is not the last livery they had another one in green, but this one is based on the real life version’s aesthetics and it is uncommon in some markets now to find one or even its competitive counterpart brand that was released the year before this 2018 model that surely will get more attention for its similarities in its livery.

"Ford F-150 Raptor" is part of the Racing Cars series manufactured by Majorette, which is available exclusively at Toy Kingdom and Toy Kingdom Express in the Philippines that is distributed by Richwell Prime retailed at ₱ 199.75 Pesos ($ 5.70 AUD | $ 3.93 USD)**
