| The Manila Auto Salon 2019 is finally open together with the Sport and Truck Show this weekend will certainly be a busy sightseeing expo for friends and family. For the car enthusiast the annual event will definitely bring some nostalgia that grew up with classic cars at the same time aspire to see something new and exotic.
This event also brings the interest for those in the Sport Utility Vehicles with the wide range of vendors with never before custom trucks that you can only find in this event. This is not just your usual automotive event as it offers some interesting sights & highlights. |
Every first day of an event gets that ‘feel’ for the interest as rarely you ever see automotive events like the Manila Auto Salon, which is one of the longest running and consistent car shows in Metro Manila that features custom cars and now teaming up with the Sport Truck Show some variety of 4x4 machines.
The Premier Automotive event is on its thirteenth year continues to cater to the general public inviting interest in cars and with the Sport Truck Show, which is now on its twenty-fifth year it gets bigger and diverse opening up the interest.
There are some impressive rides from Manila Auto Salon this year powered by some of the premier custom companies that featured super cars, performance cars, as well as those customised use for motorsport. The most pictured car was the Lamborghini Huracan that’s getting some soft wipe on tis fenders those who are keeping an eye on this illustrious machine. You get to see some classics as well like some sightings of Ford Mustangs ranging from Shelby GT500 to the Fasback in another section of the SMX Convention Centre.

The Cars
Of course, it’s what you should see when you get to the venue and there are some interesting vehicles that certainly no need of introduction. The photo does give you a preview but when you look closer in person it invited your curiosity with some of these exotic cars that you rarely see on the road.
There are vintage cars too but majority of the cars you’ll find are tuned and modified aftermarket cars. It gives you a variety of options to tease your interest about owning a car turning it into a show piece. There are some of these classics that rare and commands high value and then there are those who can only dream about.
The Trucks
To expand the variety and diverse interest Manila Auto Salon now shares event space with the Sport Truck Show that features 4x4, utility vehicles, and pick-up trucks not to mention modified and custom aftermarket trucks that will find your interest for the great outdoors having them for your long road trips.
There’s so much appreciation for these types of vehicles due to the trend and culture mostly with the terrain as streets in Manila are easily flooding during the rainy season. Sometimes it is challenging to traverse if you’re just driving a small car, but this gives you some ideas and most that would travel from regional gets their ideas to own this type of vehicles as it addresses the use for business too.
The Merchandise
There’s a plethora of merchandise in this event from shirts, caps, and hoodies that encompasses the interest with prints of their automotive brand. There are also vanity plates though not registered its sort of an add-on to the personality of your car or ute.
For those into collecting there’s one vendor that sells diecast cars and random things that might add some appeal to your vehicle. You can also find some interest in other vendors unrelated to automotive as there’s one booth promoting purifiers for your drinking water. The majority of stuff you’ll find is add-ons for your vehicle or collectible items that might be from your childhood.
The Faces
Besides the main attraction that defined this events there are also the friendly faces like the Car Show Girls and Mascots that you’ll find in this event. They are part of what makes the Manila Auto Salon a lively gathering of petrol heads as well as attracting the general public with products and services that you’ll find it here.
Majority of photo opportunity with these tireless individuals light up their respective booth offering information of the brands they represent. The random friendly mascots are an added attraction for kids too and this won’t be any event without them.
