MIAS 2019 | Visual Coverage

The Manila International Auto Show (MIAS) has been a non-stop car show since 2005 that brings the best of automobile culture in the country. This year it’s bigger than ever with top of the line car manufacturers unveiling their latest models for this region.

But what makes this an even bigger spectacle is the classic and souped up cars of yesteryears. It also feature not only long time car enthusiasts but also hobbyist that connect to the culture itself namely die cast car collectors and those who really appreciate the sound of that engine.

The first day was packed with happenings outside the World Trade Center in Manila alone that is well celebrated featuring some of the most interesting images that you’ll find on the debut of this event.

At the area where you purchase your ticket there are rows of glass cabinet displays featuring old and new collectibles. From the classic Matchbox to the latest Tomica cars it is a veritable hobbyist museum not counting the ones that are sprawled out and well placed areas inside the main venue itself.

Before you can even venture inside the main venue there are cars from the ‘old school era;’ namely from the late 1970s to the early 1980s that seemed that some might feel that old or thought about it like it was yesterdays. In case you have missed out what’s been happening outside the main venue here are some images you might find below:
