Car Sightings | Chevrolet Ute Coupé

There have been so many variations and expanded range that Holden produced for the Commodore brand. It’s mostly known for its history that produced the top of the line editions like the Redline that last rolled off the factory in Elizabeth.

But the Commodore brand is also known for the Utility pickups or simple “Ute” in Aussie linggo that’s part of the country’s identity similar to the Philippines’ Jeepney.

It’s the usual variation of the Commodore series, but this one is based in the VX executive car, and it formed the basis for a new generation Holden Ute (VU) coupé utility and Holden Monaro (V2) coupé.

While strolling along a nearby area one can’t stop and noticed a Holden Ute (VU) coupé utility parked, but with a Chevrolet badge which some Aussies have likened to use instead of a traditional Holden identity.

But truth of the matter for the non-car enthusiasts Holden is owned by Generaal Motors, which sells the Holden brand and most cars have been known for this identity. Though for a novice or casual individual into cars this would be an anecdote to give you an idea that most GM produced brands carries the Holden badge.

Though for some who rarely see a Chevrolet brand its rare in Australia to have this brand badge as the only Chevy that will soon replace the Holden Commodore that will retain its original heritage is the Chevrolet Camaro.

This one sighted would be considered as just badge cosmetic as not the first time to see a Chevy Commodore Ute with this aesthetics. But it’s a welcoming perspective for those who are familiar with this Ute as originally a Holden product.
